Seattle is one of our favorite cities in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. A seaport city on the west coast of Washington State, it is surrounded by water, mountains and evergreen forests. Known for attracting young professionals and it’s booming food scene, Seattle also hosts prominent annual fairs and festivals ranging from music, film, to culture. This beautiful city is full of personality with a unique history and culture that seems to have a neverending supply of things to do, see, and eat.

Interesting fact about your store:
Founded in 2017. Locally owned and 100% independent. We are located in the Market Hall at 400 Fairview. The Hall at 400 Fairview is a street side market designed to capture the spirit and energy of Seattle. Its a place to experience commerce and human connection, intentionally created with a variety of flexible spaces and an open layout.

 

Why did you choose to carry Leisure Society in your store:
Leisure Society is a unique brand that exhibits pure craftsmanship and artistry. It is not just a pair of glasses, but a work of art.

 

What makes the neighborhood special:
We are located in the heart of the South Lake Union neighborhood in Seattle. South Lake Union is home to Amazon headquarters and numerous Biotech companies. It is known for both technology and culture. The lake is two blocks north of our location, giving us glorious views of the water, Mount Rainier, and the iconic Space Needle. The area has a bevy of shops, bars, and restaurants making this a busy destination for locals and visitors.

 

Favorite Place to Escape to:
The South Lake Union neighborhood is also a place to relax. Being home to multiple museums and water activities, you can find yourself relaxing on an electric boat ride or roaming the Museum of History and Industry for hours. Stay put and also watch local seaplanes land in the lake or explore the sculpture park!

 

Favorite Nearby Stores or Businesses:
Our building here at 400 Fairview houses some amazing places to shop and eat. Verde and Co. has beautiful flowers while Ladro roasting has the most delicious cups of coffee. Shop Join has unique items all from local artist in the Seattle area.

 

Favorite Bar:
Mbar has amazing views of the city and Lake Union. They also have delicious cocktails, comfy chairs and blankets to enjoy on their rooftop deck overlooking SLU.
